Puberty coming in young girls: Sexual symptoms coming before 8 years, hormonal imbalance caused by running smart gadgets throughout the day
During the Corona period, people all over the world faced many types of physical and mental diseases. During this, a strange change was seen in the little girls. Among these, cases of premature puberty were reported. This pattern was especially noticed in many countries during the lockdown. This unusual phenomenon is called idiopathic precocious puberty.
Early puberty and corona infection are not
related, virus infection was believed to be the reason for the physical changes coming in girls since the beginning of corona. Many studies have also been done on this subject. But, recently a research was presented at the 60th European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology meeting in Rome. It states that corona infection has nothing to do with the early puberty of girls.
Connection of puberty with blue light
exposure To prove this, scientists from Turkey's Ghazi University and Ankara City Hospital conducted research on 18 female rats. They were exposed to different types of LED lights for more or less time. Researchers found that rats that spent more time in front of the light matured more quickly than others.
According to scientists, the blue light emitted from the screen of our device can reduce the amount of melatonin hormone in the body. This hormone is released in our brain and regulates sleep. Along with this, the amount of hormones used in reproduction can also increase, due to which puberty can come before time.
What is the normal age of puberty?
Puberty occurs between 9 and 14 years in boys and between 8 and 13 years in girls. However, if girls develop secondary sexual symptoms (such as increased breast size, hair growth in private parts, etc.) before the age of 8, it is called precocious puberty. The reason for sudden hormonal imbalance in such cases is still unknown. Still more research is needed on this.
